Warm Springs

Last weekend our ward put together a campout at Warm Springs. The site is owned by the church and it's a little oasis in the Moapa Valley desert. As you're driving to the site all you can see around you is dirt and then suddenly you hit thousands of palm trees surrounding several green campsites. We got there Friday evening to set up camp and enjoyed hanging out with friends, roasting smores around the campfire, and eating the results of the ward's dutch oven dessert cook-off. The camping area was a big grassy field and I have to tell ya, that's my kind of camping...no rocks or dirt for Bentley to eat! We even set up our tent next to the springs so we had some nice background noise as we slept. The next morning our bishopric provided us with a pancake breakfast and then our ward did a service project to clean up the playground area at the site. Afterwards, we all headed into the pool. The pool is filled with the spring water and it was so warm (duh)! We have such a great ward with so many fun activities and families to enjoy them with!
