We were able to spend Thanksgiving this year with my two sisters and their families in Utah. We left Tuesday night so that Bentley would hopefully sleep through the drive. He didn't make a single peep the entire way...it was pure bliss! It worked out so well that we decided to drive home on Saturday instead of Sunday like we had planned. Even though we spent all Sunday catching up on sleep it was definitely worth not having to spend a couple of hours in a rest stop parking lot trying to feed and deal with a baby that hates sitting in his car seat unless he's completely tired. We had such a good trip and we weren't ready to come home. It is so nice to spend time with family and we always have a million places we want to go to when we get to Utah (IKEA, Rumbi, Tai Pan, etc.), that we never seem to have enough time to fit everything in. Foruntately we were able to meet up with a few old friends and spend an afternoon with John's sister and husband before heading home.
John also managed to find some time to hit the slopes in Park City. He took our two nephews, Branson and Grant, with him and they had a blast. It made him realize how much he misses snowboarding. He used to go almost every weekend with his buddies, and it's been a couple of years since his last ride. We just might have to make another trip to Utah this winter!

This Thanksgiving I was particularly grateful for:
- the Savior
- my hard working, very understanding, and loving husband
- a healthy baby boy
- feeding times that last less than an hour
- hypoallergenic formula
- loving and supportive parents
- awesome friends to do things with while our husbands study
